Superior falls short in regular season finale to New Richmond

On Friday, the Superior Spartans look to end their season on a win against undefeated New Richmond.

The New Richmond Tigers, up 21-0, found their way back to the house, Nick Stellrecht made the pass to Aiden Eckert, who ran in straight in to put the Tigers up 27-0. They would hold the Spartans to zero with Bennett Schribner who caught an overthrown pass that bounced off his teammate’s helmet to return the ball back to the Tigers. The Spartans did return the favor, Landon Anrig stole the ball straight from the Tiger’s gloves and raced it straight to the end zone for the touchdown.

New Richmond would hold their undefeated title with a 49-21 win over Superior.

Elsewhere in Wisconsin on Friday night. Northwestern took the win over Hayward 58-14, Ashland fell to Spooner 33-0, and Northwood/Solon Springs remained undefeated after downing Flambeau 54-18.
