UMD men’s hockey can’t overcome early deficit, fall to #6 Minnesota

This weekend was not what any UMD men’s hockey fan had in mind, as the Bulldogs were swept by #6 Minnesota, falling 5-1 on Saturday night.

The Bulldogs allowed two goals in the first period before they were on the board with their own, as Owen Gallatin sent a one-timer to the back of the net right before the period ended.

The Bulldogs couldn’t use that momentum to their advantage, giving up a goal in the second period and two goals in the third to put the game out of reach.

The Bulldogs next turn to Stonehill College on Friday to find win number two.
