For more than 46 years, Safe Haven has been a lifeline for survivors of domestic violence offering shelter, advocacy, and healing for those escaping abuse.

Tuesday night at Bent Paddle brewing was an evening of community, fun, and support for survivors.

For more than 4-decades Safe Haven has been offering safety, space to heal, and empowerment for all survivors.

Jaci Christiansen is Safe Haven shelters community engagement coordinator. She knows that domestic violence is a heavy topic but says this is a way to have an informal, lighter environment for people to come interact with staff, hear about their services and help support the cause. “We have awesome raffle items from local artisans and makers in the community,” she said with a smile. “And this is another way for us to engage with donors and supporters in a way that doesn’t have to be so heavy,” she said.

The event is a key highlight of domestic violence awareness month and provided an opportunity for attendees to come together and show support for survivors of domestic violence.
