Crews still working on the new seawall behind the DECC
A look at the progress of the seawall behind the DECC.
Construction on the $19 million dollar seawall behind the DECC continues. The portion closest to the pedestrian bridge is looking the most complete, with flagstone going down.
“The flat surfaces are done about up to where the doors are going into Paulucci Hall. And we’re hoping to get closer to the aquarium before the end of this season,” shared Erik Birkeland, the city’s Property and Facilities Manager.
The goal is to be done before Grandma’s Marathon next year.
The wet spring was not helpful for the timeline, but the dry fall has been.
