Lea Zmurko: A fall weekend in the 50s
The last bit of rain moves across northern Wisconsin and the very tip of the Arrowhead before dawn this morning. The rest of the day will remain dry besides a slight chance for a few scattered showers in the northern most portions of the Arrowhead in the afternoon.
Winds will be breezy and cool as the push in from the northwest. The gusty conditions will keep the skies clear for the daypart as the sunshine brings temperatures into the mid-50s. By nightfall the temperatures will drop into the 20, and the Northland will be well below freezing.
High pressure will remain overhead through the weekend and the start of next week and temperatures will sneak up into the mid-60s with winds coming in from the south and sunny skies. This will be the last stint of warmer temperatures for October as we start to see weather patterns shift and cooler air dominating with increased chances for snow at the start of November.
Before the flakes, there will be more rain next week with a chance for thunderstorms on Tuesday night across northern Wisconsin.
