Multiple fire departments responded to a fire near Zim Friday night.

The Northland Firewire was on the scene as the blaze was roaring, being whipped up by strong winds.

This is on the 8200 block of Stone Lake Road. The call came in around 6:50 Friday night. Northland Firewire telling us several structures were threatened and damaged, a home, a camper, a boat house and boat all right there near the blaze.

There are several homes and cabins along that stretch of Stone Lake Road. Stone Lake is about 4 miles east of Zim and about 15 miles south of Eveleth.

The State fire marshall has been called in to investigate.
