Tech Bytes: Reddit reports turning a profit

Social media site Reddit has reported that they have turned a profit this year, with earning nearly $30 million in revenue. Google's Project Astra plans to release earlier than expected, with the project bringing in some useful AI tools. A new soundbar is being released that comes with its own karaoke system built in.

The online social media platform Reddit is profitable for the first time ever. With nearly 100 million daily users, up nearly 50% from last year, Reddit reported $30 million in revenue.

Google says their next-gen AI tech, Project Astra, isn’t set to launch until 2025 at the earliest. The launch is later than initially planned for the project which has a range of technologies including smartphone apps. They can recognize the world around you and AI assistance can answer questions and perform tasks like booking flights.

Vizio introduces their new “MicMe” soundbar with a built-in karaoke. It’s a stereo sound bar that comes with two wireless microphones so you and your friends can belt out your favorites for up to eight hours. It features six voice enhancements and users can access 85,000 songs.
