Students bring new life to ‘Eurydice’ at UMD
A Stage 2 production run entirely by students hits the stage this weekend.
UMD Theatre students are working on a show that brings new life to a Greek tragedy.
Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice is a different perspective from the mythical story of Orpheus and Eurydice. The play follows Eurydice into the underworld where she finds her father and has to fight to remember who she is and what she loves. The show explores themes of death, lost love, and reclaiming life.
The show is playing at the Dudley Experimental Theatre on Friday and Saturday, November 8 and 9, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, November 10, at 2 p.m. Tickets are available online. UMD Students get in for free.
