Ron Kresha re-elected for Minnesota House 10A seat
Results are in, and the new Minnesota House of Representatives for District 10A will be incumbent Ron Kresha (R). Kresha received 71% of the votes, getting the majority over Julia Hipp (DFL).
Minnesota House of Representatives District 10A includes Aitkin, Garrison, Cushing, Little Falls, and Wahkon. Before the 2020 redistricting cycle, this district used to stretch from Brainerd north to Pequot Lakes.
About Ron Kresha
Ron Kresha (R) is the incumbent for this seat, after assuming office on January 3, 2023. Kresha previously served as the State Representative for District 9B from 2013 to 2023. He is from Little Falls, Minnesota, and worked as a business executive before becoming a State Representative.
Kresha has a B.A. in English from St. Cloud University and an M.B.A. from Bellevue University. In his most recent term, he was assigned to the Education Finance Committee and the Way and Means Committee.
The campaign website for Kresha says he has “consistently focused on consistently focused on issues that matter most to Minnesotans, including education, economic growth, and family values.”
About Julia Hipp
Julia Hipp (DFL) won the Democratic primary in August. Hipp has career experience working in communications and has been affiliated with the Aitkin Chamber of Commerce and the National Investor Relations Institute.
Hipp was born in Los Angeles, California but has a high school diploma from Roosevelt High School. She also has a bachelor’s degree from North Hennepin Community College and a graduate degree from Metropolitan State University. Kipp also attended UMN College of Management.
On her campaign website, Hipp said she plans to, “grow the economy by expanding the middle class, safeguard retirement security, protect access to women’s healthcare, and protect our environment and access to clean water” if elected.
