Major project starting near the pier in Canal Park
The Army Corp of Engineers is starting a $3 million dollar shoreline protection project.
The improvements will provide needed upgrades to the 200 feet of pedestrian walkway and ultimately connect the City of Duluth’s Lake Walk structure to the Duluth Ship Canal North Pier.
You will still be able to access the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center and the shipping pier during construction.
Work is beginning this fall, and slated to go through November of next year.
