Tech Bytes: Amazon will fix Kindle Color issues

A discoloration issue at the bottom of Kindle Color screens is promised to be fixed by Amazon. New iOS function will allow Apple iPhone users to know how long it takes to charge phone batteries. Kia announces two new electric-vehicle designs that plan for off-roading adventures.

A change is coming to the Kindle Colorsoft. Buyers have complained about Amazon’s first color e-reader, saying there’s a yellow band of discoloration at the bottom of the display. Current owners can get a refund or a replacement.

The iPhone may soon show how long it takes to charge your battery. Reports say the beta version of iOS 18.2 includes a “Battery Intelligence” feature, which will provide users with information about the device’s estimated charging time. The function is still described as a work in progress.

Kia has unveiled two new EV designs, including a modular van. The PV5 comes with sheltered storage space for outdoor gear and can be powered by solar panels. Kia’s other new ride, the EV9 SUV, is equipped with tires and wheels designed for off-roading.
