The Duluth Police Department swears in 11 new officers
The Duluth Police Department along with friends and family gathered at Clyde Ironworks to welcome and swear in eleven new police officers on Wednesday November 6th.
The ceremony also celebrated the promotion of two officers to Sergeant.
The eleven new recruits are Ryan McFadden, Max Peterson, Alex Pinnel, Bryton Lutzka, Saul
Jeanetta, Jonathan Laughlin, Michael Joki, James Jorde, Braden Holty, Kyle McMullen, and Andrew
Schamberger.
Both Jim Forsyth and Nate Hughes were promoted to Sergeant.
“It’s one of our favorite days of the year. We get to celebrate not only our new hires but also people who have promoted within our organization,” said Duluth Police Chief Mike Ceynowa. “It’s a way to share with our community the hard work that it takes to become a Duluth police officer.”
The recruits were sworn in by Duluth Mayor Rodger Reinert.
