Cherry’s Isaac Asuma scores first bucket with Gophers

On Wednesday night Cherry native Isaac Asuma scored his first collegiate basket in the Minnesota Gopher men’s basketball team’s season opener.
His first bucket was a three pointer in the second half to bring the Gophers’ lead to 60-36 over Oral Roberts. The freshman would finish with two threes for six points at Williams Arena, where he won a state championship with Cherry boy’s basketball back in March.
Asuma and the Gophers would earn the 80-57 victory over Oral Roberts.
