Tristan St. Clair Sentenced for Attempted Second Degree Murder

On Tuesday, November 12th, Tristan Jade St. Clair, was sentenced to 20 years in prison. St. Clair previously entered a guilty plea on September 30, 2024. He’s been sentenced for 240 months in prison for Attempted Second Degree Murder, according to St. Louis County Attorney Kim Maki.

In the early morning hours of January 6, 2023, St. Clair and his co-defendant entered the victims’ residence on West Arrowhead Road without consent. He located two people in a basement bedroom where he stabbed one victim in the chest. Then St. Clair stabbed a second victim multiple times in the chest, neck, and face.

St. Clair proceeded back up the stairs where he encountered a third victim. He struck the victim, over the head with a glass coffee pot causing lacerations to her head, neck, and face. 

St. Clair and his co-defendant attempted to flee in a car, but became stuck in the deep snow at the end of the driveway. The maximum time allowed under the law for Attempted Second Degree Murder is 240 months.
