Youth Wellness Leadership Summit in Superior gave students a chance to learn together
125 students from across northwestern Wisconsin spent the day learning together at the Youth Wellness Leadership Summit at UWS.
It’s hosted by the Northwest Wisconsin Lung Health Alliance, along with partners like Essentia Health.
Students helped plan the summit by picking topics to discuss.
Russell Habermann, Community Health Program Manager for Essentia Health, said, “One of the things that we’re talking about today is the connection between our mental health and our physical bodies. And so it’s really an opportunity to share about some of those positive coping mechanisms that students can take, and it’s especially important to share those lessons with our younger generation and the people that are growing and developing right now.”
The event aims to foster conversations around wellness and mental health and whole body health.
