UWS women’s soccer falls in penalty kicks in NCAA tournament
UWS women’s soccer suffered heartbreak on Saturday night, as they fell to Carleton College in penalty kicks, with a final score of 0-0 (3-2 PK’s).
UWS and Carleton were absolutely deadlocked all the way throughout the match, with neither team able to convert the multiple tries they were given. In overtime, each team had chances to end the game, but couldn’t do so.
The game moved into penalty kicks, where the Yellowjackets took a 2-0 advantage. However, three straight goals from Carleton and no rebuttal from the Yellowjackets sent UWS home.
UWS ends their season with a 15-7-1 record.
