He is the man of the year, not just in the Northland, but the entire state of Wisconsin. Jared Schultz, of Northwood/Solon Springs, has been named the 2024 8-Man Player of the Year by the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association.

The senior quarterback and linebacker did it all this fall, helping the Evergreens to a state semifinal and a 10-1 overall record.

In those 11 games, he threw for 1,513 yards and 21 touchdowns. On the ground, he rushed for 2,015 yards and 35 touchdowns, and even managed one receiving touchdown.

Defensively, he also led the team. Schultz recorded 191 total tackles and 15 for loss. He had three sacks, forced five fumbles, and came away with five interceptions. He also was a punter, a punt returner, and a kick returner scoring three touchdowns.
