Jeff Ojanen steps down as head coach of Cloquet football

After three seasons as head coach and nineteen as assistant coach for Cloquet High School football, Jeff Ojanen has made the announcement that he will be stepping down.

The decision to step away was made to give Ojanen the opportunity to prioritize his daughters.

“Youth sports is where I will continue to coach, and I get the gift of being able to coach my girls,” said Ojanen.

Ojanen graduated from Cloquet High School in 2002 and returned to the football program as an assistant coach. In 2022, he took over as head coach, and in his three seasons led the team to a 12-17 overall record. Ojanen also helped the team to a Section 7AAA championship berth in his first season as head coach.
