Wallin’s hat-trick leads No. 4 UMD women’s hockey to big win over Bemidji
The University of Minnesota Duluth women’s hockey team looked to bring home a win after being swept in their home series against the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers. On Friday afternoon, the Bulldogs hosted Bemidji State at AMSOIL Arena, topping the Beavers 8-1.
UMD’s Olivia Wallin would lead the Bulldogs in goals, bringing in three during the game. The hat trick served as her first as a Bulldog, and the third goal scored served as her 100th collegiate point.
Tova Anderson trailed with two goals, and Mary Kate O’Brien, Danielle Burgen and Olivia Mobley would also net goals against the Beavers.
UMD goaltender Eve Gascon saw 21 shots, only allowing one.
The Bulldogs will return to battle the Beavers on Saturday, November 23rd at 1PM at AMSOIL Arena.
