PAVSA awarded as Junior League of Duluth’s Community Award Recipient

For 2024, the Junior League of Duluth has awarded Program for Aid to Victims of Sexual Assault (PAVSA) as the recipient of their Community Award.

The award recognizes an organization that makes an impact in the community and reflects the mission and vision of Junior League of Duluth (JLD).

PAVSA is a nonprofit rape crisis center in southern St. Louis County that helps area residents cope with the aftermath of sexual violence, including trafficking and exploitation. All of their services are completely free of cost.

Their services are available to those 13 and older who have experienced sexual violence or have a loved one who has experienced sexual violence, whether it happened yesterday or years ago. A PAVSA advocate is available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week to support and empower individuals in their healing journey.

Lauren Farden, the JLD President, says, “The Junior League of Duluth is proud to honor PAVSA with this year’s Community Award. PAVSA’s work is truly inspiring. Their mission aligns with our vision of creating a more compassionate and equitable community, and we are grateful for the incredible impact they make every day. Together, we can continue to build a community where every individual feels supported and empowered.”
