Justin Liles: Heavy snow possible for some this weekend
A Winter Weather Advisory and Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the northern parts of the Northland through the weekend.
Plan on slippery road conditions Friday night through Saturday. For the Winter Weather Advisory, mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. For the Winter Storm Watch, wet and heavy snow possible. Total wet snow accumulations between 4 and 8 inches possible. Local wet snow accumulations up to 10 inches are possible in eastern Cook County.
Beginning Sunday afternoon, wet snow and easterly winds off Lake Superior gusting to 35 mph may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages.
