Avery is a 16-year-old cat looking for a loving home to call his own. He has been at the shelter since November 22. Avery is a very chill and low-key feline who enjoys meeting new people and will always find the most comfortable spot for a nap. While he doesn’t play much anymore, he never turns down a treat! He spends most of his time observing the world from a high shelf or tower.

Avery’s ideal home would be loving and patient as he adjusts to new environments. Having arrived at the shelter as a stray, the staff are unsure how he would do with other animals or children, but he would likely prefer a quieter home with not a lot going on where he can be spoiled during his golden years.

A nonrefundable $25 hold can be placed toward his adoption fee to secure the first spot in line. The adoption team is available via phone Tuesday-Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The adoption process is first come, first serve.
