Man rescued after pickup goes into river
On Monday, the Cloquet Fire Department rescued a man whose pickup truck entered the river.
According to a post on the Cloquet Fire’s Facebook, Cloquet Police and the Carlton County Sheriff’s Office responded at about 10:28 p.m. First responders found the man in the bed of his truck. They threw him a life jacket and were able to talk to him.
The Fire Department arrived and used rescue suits and an inflatable boat to get him out of the water.
Once on shore, paramedics checked him out. The Fire Department is thankful for the good outcome.
Cloquet Fire did not say how the vehicle ended up in the river. CARS Towing got the vehicle out of the water.
