Prep Boys Hockey: Duluth Marshall & Hermantown tie, CEC & Rock Ridge nab wins
Tuesday night was a busy one in the Northland for boys hockey, as Rock Ridge took down Duluth Denfeld 6-3, Cloquet-Esko-Carlton edged out Proctor 4-3 in overtime, and Hermantown tied Duluth Marshall 2-2 in overtime as well.
Grady Dimberio shined for Rock Ridge, scoring the Wolverines first three goals. Jackson Bartovich scored two goals of his own, while Caz Carlson added one for the Wolverines as well. For the Hunters, Brady Wick, Jacob Hoch, and John Scott all found the back of the net.
The Wolverines take on Little Falls on Friday at 7 p.m., while Denfeld faces Superior on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
Cloquet-Esko-Carlton took to the road to take on Proctor, in an exciting and highly offensive matchup.
Dylan Denzler scored twice for Proctor along with Blaine Boysen scoring one of his own. CEC’s scorers included Karson Young, Grady Knutson, and two from Niko Gentilini, including the game winner in overtime.
CEC turns to take on Blaine on Saturday at 2 p.m., while Proctor takes on Rochester Lourdes on Friday at 7 p.m.
Hermantown and Duluth Marshall tied 2-2 in a highly anticipated matchup, with the game going to overtime, but neither team finding the back of the net in the frame.
The Hawks turn to face Centennial on Friday at 5 p.m., while Duluth Marshall will take on Rochester Mayo on Friday at 2 p.m.
