Truckers for Tots load up on toys
The Truckers for Tots shopping event had volunteers shopping carts overflowing with toys at Fleet Farm in Duluth on Thursday December 12th.
The toys went to load up a semitruck headed for the Salvation Army Duluth, who will give those toys to families in need over the holiday season as a part of Toys for Tots.
Truckers for Tots was started 16 years ago by Mid-State Truck Services. Ascendance Truck Centers acquired Mid-State Truck Services early in February of 2024 and decided to continue the tradition.
Mike Cooper, an operations manager at Ascendance Truck Centers told us he thinks they spent around $12,000 for the local community.
“The last four years have been a little tough maybe because of COVID and stuff like that. So, to be able to jump out in the community, is great,” said Cooper. “Our owners have always been up to such that we don’t just work in the community, we’re part of the community.”
