The Superior Fire Department headquarters is bursting at the seams with toys for kids.

They will be hosting the distribution for the Douglas County Toys for Tots this weekend.

John Lundberg, a member of IAFF Local 74, told us that they have nearly 300 families signed up, who will collect toys for almost 700 kids.

Volunteers help sort and set up the mountain of gifts, which have been generously donated by the community.

This tradition dates back to the early 1900s, when the firefighters would fix up old toys.
