Authorities identify the driver who drove around stopped school bus
Update on December 23: According to Minnesota State Patrol, the driver and vehicle have been identified by law enforcement. State Patrol has not released the name of the driver. On social media, State Patrol extended thanks to the public for their assistance in finding the person.
Original Story: The Minnesota State Patrol is turning to the public for help finding the vehicle and driver seen in a video that shows a pick-up truck driving around a stopped school bus on the right side.
This happened Friday afternoon at about 3:44 p.m. on Highway 169 near Polar Drive in Wuori Township which is north of Virginia.
The truck and school bus were heading southbound on Highway 169, toward Highway 53.
The State Patrol says the bus’s flashing lights were on and it was picking up kids at the time.
They can’t make out a license plate. It’s a white Dodge Ram 1-ton dually, four-door pickup truck, with a silver toolbox in the truck bed.
