Sabrina Ullman: Foggy sleigh ride tonight
Santa will need help from Rudolph tonight as patchy fog lingers in northern Minnesota. Freezing fog will be possible in some areas late tonight, especially stretching from Duluth to Brainerd. Elsewhere, it will be cloudy with overnight lows in the low 20s.
Christmas Day will have fog in the morning with areas of freezing fog early in the day. Afternoon highs will be near 30 degrees. Wednesday is also the first night of Hanukkah, and sunset will be at 4:25 pm.
Thursday will be cloudy with highs in the mid to upper 30s. Warmer weather will continue through the weekend. Rain is likely starting Thursday night and lasting through Friday. We could see a wintry mix on Friday night.
By the time we ring in the new year on Tuesday night, temperatures will be closer to normal for this time of year. Happy holidays!
