Prep Girls Hockey: Grand Rapids/Greenway rolls past Bemidji, Proctor/Hermantown falls to Dodge County

Tuesday night on the ice saw the Proctor/Hermantown Mirage fall to state runners up Dodge County 3-0, while Grand Rapids/Greenway took down Bemidji, 5-2.

The Mirage were in for a tall task against Dodge County, as the Wildcats came in with a 13-2-1 record, but hung tough with them for the majority of the first period, only allowing one goal. In the second period, however, Dodge County added two more, an insurmountable total for the Mirage, despite their 37-27 shots on goal differential.

The Mirage are back in action on Thursday against Chisago Lakes at 7 p.m.

In Bemidji, the GRG Lightning found themselves in a back and forth battle at first. In the first period, the Lightning trailed 1-0, but thanks to Kylie DeBay, were able to tie things at 1-1. GRG went into intermission down 2-1, however.

In the second, Mercury Bischoff scored two goals and Kate Carlson added one of her own to come roaring back, with Carlson adding a second in the third period.

The Lightning are back on the ice on Friday against Elk River at 7 p.m.
