Prep Girls Hockey: Superior earns 10th straight win, Duluth holds off CEC

On Thursday, Superior girl’s hockey topped Rock Ridge 7-6 it OT, and Duluth bested Cloquet-Esko-Carlton 2-0.

In Superior, the Spartans would net goals thanks to Aaliyah Haroldson, Adalyn Benson, Makaela Reinke and Julia Fernandez. Rock Ridge would tally goals thanks to Natalie Bergman, Ayla Troutwine, Mayme Scott and Colie Otto. Superior’s Adalyn Benson would net the winning goal in overtime, giving the Spartans their tenth win in a row. Superior’s goaltender Kaylie Nault would make 31 saves, and Rock Ridge’s goaltender Nola Kwiatkowski would make 7 saves.

In Duluth, the Northern Stars would net goals thanks to Gracyn Schipper with two goals during the game. Cloquet-Esko-Carlton’s goaltender Izabella Strang would make 20 saves, and Duluth’s goaltender Aaili Anttila would make 12 saves.
