House, garage, and vehicles a total loss after Aurora fire

The East Range Police Department reports that a house, two vehicles, and a garage are assumed to be total losses after an Aurora fire Tuesday morning, January 14. The Aurora Fire Department and multiple assisting agencies were dispatched to a garage fire on the 400 block of South 2nd St. W in Aurora around 4:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, crews found the garage, a nearby house, and two vehicles fully engulfed in flames. Authorities say the residents of the house were able to escape without injuries.

The fire rekindled shortly after noon, but was quickly put out by the Aurora Fire Department.

The State Fire Marshal is currently investigating the cause of the fire.

The Palo Fire Department, Hoyt Lakes Fire Department, Aurora Publics works staff, Hoyt Lakes Ambulance, East Range Police Department, and Gilbert Police Department all assisted at the scene.
