In today’s Tech Bytes, OpenAI is testing a new feature that may compete with Alexa and Siri. It’s called Tasks and it will enable ChatGPT to function somewhat like a virtual assistant, allowing users to schedule tasks and set recurring or one-time reminders.

Next, DirectTV has a new sports-only streaming service, MySports. It includes offerings from our parent company, Disney’s ESPN, and other networks. The cost is $70 per month. It’s available in 24 metro areas, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Philly.

Finally, Motorola is touting the toughness of its newest phones. It says the Moto G and Moto G Power are waterproof and can survive falls from 4 feet and temperatures from minus 4 to 140 degrees. The phones will be available at the end of this month, starting at about $200.
