Lea Zmurko: The windy warmup continues
Temperatures stay mild through Friday with highs in the upper twenties to low thirties. Skies will stay cloud covered with low chances of light snow and patchy periods of freezing drizzle as the clipper to our north brings residual moisture to the Northland. All potential accumulation was minimal but once the clipper clears, the temperatures tumble rapidly.
The winds will be very breezy today and into tomorrow as gusts exceed 30 mph adn the blustery air picks up momentum as the temperatures drop into the weekend.
Sunday and Monday will be bitterly cold with high remaining below zero and wind chill values could bring the Northland into Cold Weather Advisories or even Extreme Cold Warnings through Tuesday morning.
