No. 10 UW-Steven’s Point hands No. 11 UWS’s first loss in fifteen games
On Friday, No. 11 UW-Superior took on in-state foe No. 10 UW-Steven’s Point, who would deliver the Yellowjacket’s first loss in fifteen games, defeating them 3-1.
UW-Steven’s Point’s Fletcher Anderson began the scoring off just under halfway through the first period, with an assist from Hunter O’Brien. At the end of the first period, Anderson would return for his second goal of the night, giving the Pointers a 2-0 lead. They would extend that lead in the second period on the power-play with a shot from Andrew Paulias that would find the net. The Yellowjackets would wait until the third period on the power-play to put themselves on the board with a goal from Gavin Rasmussen.
