Lea Zmurko: Mild Monday but more winter weather is still in store
Today remains warm for many in the Northland but cooler conditions are coming as an incoming system works its way over.
Highs will climb up into the mid-40s before dropping tonight with the arrival of some scattered light rain and potentially sleet and a freezing drizzle. Light ice accumulation will gather across northeastern Minnesota tonight and into tomorrow morning before the wintry mixes switches over to snowfall for Tuesday night into Wednesday.

The heaviest snow will land along northern Wisconsin with additional precipitation along the South Shore Snowbelt. Winds will remain gusty through Thursday and there is a potential risk for blowing snow and reduced visibility for many around the Northland. Travel will be the worst on Wednesday, but surfaces will be slick and messy prior.

The quiet weather returns on Thursday and continues through the weekend.
