Speaker focuses on spreading the message of hope at Willow River

A look at how Tasha Schuh has taken her worst moments and turned them into motivational messages for students.

At 16-years-old, Tasha Schuh was a multi-sport athlete who loved to sing. In fact, she was rehearsing for the Wizard of Oz when she stepped through an open trap door and fell and hit her head.

After that, she was paralyzed from the chest down. And doctors told her she would not sing again.

But Tuesday, she sang “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” for a crowd of several hundred students.

That was the grand finale of her presentation about resilience and hope. She focuses on PATH: Purpose, Attitude, Team, and Hope.

Students from Willow River, Barnum, and Moose Lake enjoyed the event.

The community is invited to hear her speak at 6pm on Tuesday, at the Willow River school.
