To help mark their 5th anniversary, Hometown Hero Outdoors is adding to the family.
They are now including firefighters and EMTs in their groups of people who can apply for the free outdoor trips. Originally, it was law enforcement, military, and veterans.
Les Albert is a field staff for the organization, and a former firefighter himself. He stopped by the Virginia Fire Department with pizza on Friday, to share the news. “They have the same stressors as us. They see almost the same things. So this is exciting to be able to share this with them.”
The only qualifications you need are to be a Level 1 firefighter or Basic EMT.
