Section Football Quarterfinals: Duluth East, Cloquet, Esko, Two Harbors advance

Prep football playoffs kicked off on Tuesday in Minnesota.
In Section 7AAAAA, three Austan Orvedahl touchdowns lifted fifth seeded Duluth East passed fourth seeded Cambridge-Isanti 35-26. The Greyhounds advance to visit top-seeded Elk River in the semifinals Saturday at 1 p.m.
In Section 7AAAA, fourth seeded Cloquet rallied from an early deficit to top No. 5 Duluth Denfeld 42-12. The Lumberjacks visit No. 1 Grand Rapids Saturday at 6 p.m. The other semifinal will be No. 2 Hermantown hosting No. 3 North Branch also on Saturday at 6 p.m.
In Section 7AAA, No. 1 Esko improved to 9-0 beating No. 8 Hibbing 55-0. They’ll host No. 4 Two Harbors, who downed No. 5 Proctor 47-7, in Saturday’s semifinals at 2 p.m. No. 2 Pequot Lakes will host No. 3 Aitikin in the other semifinal.
The Section 7AA semifinals will be No. 4 Hinckley-Finlayson at No. 1 Moose Lake-Willow River, and International Falls at No. 2 Crosby-Ironton.
The Section 7A semifinals will be No. 4 Chisholm at No. 1 Deer River, and No. 3 Barnum at No. 3 Braham.
