Ursa Minor Brewing is hoping to make a DiffeRUNce this weekend.
The Brewery is hosting a DiffeRUNce 5k that will benefit the Duluth Area Family YMCA’s food access programs.
“We use it as a way to get people outside, get people active, and give back to the community,” Ursa Minor founder Ben Hugus said.
“It’s critical for us,” Duluth Area Family YMCA Food Access Program Director Jacob Sass said. “Each year, the YMCA gives out over 60,000 free meals to members of our community, and there’s no way we could do this without partners such as Ursa Minor helping us raise funds.”
The brewery just canned a new non-alcoholic Amber Ale. Hugus also showcased an Ursa Minor staple, the Constellation Cream Ale, and his favorite, the Bear Hop IPA. The Cadillac Ranch Hand Hazy IPA has Mosaic, Citra and El Dorado hops. Hugus says even thought it’s an IPA, it’s not very bitter.
The DiffeRUNce 5k starts at 10 a.m. at Ursa Minor. There is a suggested donation of $35, but any size donation will allow you to run. To sign up or get more details, click here.
