Although the UMD women’s hockey team couldn’t bring home the NCAA title, that didn’t deter fans from gathering at Amsoil Arena today to welcome the team back home from State College in Pennsylvania.
"We are ready to get back at it actually and start building for next year. Everyone knows the Frozen Four is in Duluth so we want to take it one step further. We made the Frozen Four last year, National Championship this year. Now we want to go win the thing and do it in front of our home crowd," said head coach Maura Crowell.
"Defiantly was calling it a little bit of a revenge tour. Also just showing people to put some respect on the Bulldogs name. We definitely did just that and we opened a lot of peoples eyes," added Gabbie Hughes.
The Bulldogs close out the season with a 27-12-1 record.
