Bentleyville and Downtown Computer announce additional security

The Bentleyville ‘Tour of Lights’ is once again working with Downtown Computer to improve security and safety ahead of this season’s opening of the popular holiday light display. In the past, vandals have damaged some of the displays and huts used for the Bentleyville ‘Tour of Lights.’ So last year, the computer sales and service center helped install a campus-wide CCTV to deter vandals.

The surveillance management system installed by Downtown Computer will be used again this season. It includes cameras in elevated locations, recorders, and other technologies that can be accessed remotely. Downtown Computer will also be able to monitor Bentleyville’s 4,000 square foot retail space next to the Bayfront skating rink.

Downtown Computer president Nicholas Mancini says they are once again honored to be part of this holiday tradition.

“They’ve got this beautiful retail space that we were excited to help protect as well.” Mancini said. “And additionally, they had us give a hand to showcase our skills in helping get their new point of sale system up and running.” Mancini says they are excited to showcase the company’s skill in both surveillance and IT.

Bentleyville founder, Nathan Bentley says the work that Downtown Computer has done has been successful. “We are feeling very, very comfortable with Nick’s equipment to be able to keep everyone safe and hopefully keep our vandalism and mischief to a minimum,” he said.

The Bentleyville ‘Tour of Lights’ display opens Saturday, November 19th and runs through Monday, December 26th.
