Minnesota firearms hunters had their day about two days ago, and on Saturday, it’ll be time for Wisconsin to have their day.
In two days, Wisconsin gun season opens, but if you’ve never hunted before, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) shares some ways those interested can test the waters or rather, the woods.
“One place to start is by taking a learn to hunt course, and then there are definitely affinity groups out there. Artemis Sports Women and Color in the Outdoors is another one in Wisconsin and Hunters of Color.”
The Northwestern Wisconsin outlook is expected to be similar to last fall.
It is recommended to look for deer near agriculture since it’s deeply forested areas that offer less food. The nine-day season runs from November 19th through the 27th.
