Students from Rock Ridge who are considered emerging leaders by their teachers spent the day focused on ethics.
It was a workshop that featured Dr. Jason Skirry, an ethics and business law professor at University of St. Thomas.
The Business Education Teacher from Rock Ridge, Kyle Hammer, had brought this to another previous district he worked for, and had seen the success.
One point he remembers that stands out, is this, "You have your resume values, and your eulogy values. And sometimes they are conflicted. You have to work to intertwine them. It’s important to remember you’re remembered for your eulogy values."
Iron Range Rotary sponsored the whole cost of the event. "Business ethics are a core value of the Rotary," shared president Joe Uhan. "We hope this program continues at Rock Ridge."
Rotarians sat at the tables sharing their advice and wisdom.
The Americinn put Skirry up for the night.
