DLH to Fort Myers flights pausing in January
Changes are coming to Sun Country Airline flights out of Duluth to Fort Myers, Florida.
The Duluth International Airport says from January 6 through January 30, 2023, flights from Duluth (DLH) to Fort Myers (RSW) will be temporarily paused. Impacted travelers will instead be rerouted out of Minneapolis-St. Paul by Landline. All travelers have been notified, according to DLH.
DHL to RSW flights will resume on February 3, 2023. Southbound flights to Fort Myers will remain non-stop, while Northbound passengers can expent one-stop in Madison, Wisconsin.
“Sun Country has indicated the reason for the change in flights is due to soft bookings caused by the hurricane’s devastation in Fort Myers,” says Tom Werner, Executive Director of the Duluth Airport Authority. “It is important for our community to continue to support this route and book flights to Fort Myers this winter and spring so we can get direct flights to Fort Myers back in the fall of 2023.”
