3M Open Tournament Director Cavner, discussses preparations

The 2022 3M Open golf tournament is set to begin July 21st, in Blaine Minnesota.

The event will boast a full field, consisting of the 2021 winner Cameron Champ and three former Majors winners.

Also included in the star studded line-up is Edina native Mardy Fish, a retired pro tennis player.

"We have been on the phone with a bunch of the players and they are really excited about it. We have a big Charter plane coming back from Europe and the British Open, so we are excited about that. I think you’ll see some really innovative things come out, I don’t know what it’s going to be’ but I’ve heard some rumors and things like that. I feel really good about where we are going, and where the tour is at right now," said tournament director Hollis Cavner.

This years event will mark the fourth year that the PGA Tour will be held in Blaine, at the TPC Twin Cities.
