The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) volleyball team rallied big from a three game slump notching two straight 3-0 sweeps over Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) foes Minot State University and the University of Mary over the weekend.
The Bulldogs are now looking to build on that shut out momentum heading into a busy five game week.
"For the players it’s the ideal situation," head coach Jim Boos said. "They don’t have to come in here and go through the grind of practicing and all the monotony of what we’ve been doing here for three months. It’s ‘let’s go out there and compete’, so I don’t think it takes a whole lot to motivate them to get going I think it’s just about recovering."
First up is a two game road slate at Minnesota State University, Moorehead on Friday then Northern State University Saturday.
The Bulldogs return home Tuesday for a rematch with number 20 Michigan Technological University. The Huskies picked up the 3-0 season opening win over UMD back in September.
