After a last second Wayne state field goal Saturday ruined University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) footballs unblemished record, the team looked for some bright spots in the loss.
A diamond in the rough of the 31-28 loss, Bulldog running back Cazz Martin.
Who after the game Tied his career high, three touchdown night with, 163 rushing yards.
"There were some big holes that I ran through and pretty much just used my speed to get to the endzone but the o line men, our full backs, J backs, tight end they did an amazing job blocking and I kind of just did the finishing touch," Martin exclaimed.
"When you have games like Cazz did rushing the football, you also have to look to the receiving core and the tight ends and the offensive line to make sure that they’re getting blocks down the field. So we adjusted some stuff to be able to make sure that we got Cazz the football enough on Saturday night just we didn’t get him in the endzone enough," said UMD head coach Curt Wiese.
Coach then added that turning the ball over is what they need to avoid heading to MSU Moorhead this Saturday.
Kickoff is at noon.
