Former Grand Rapids Greenway standout Claire Vekich of Bemidji State secured Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) rookie of the week honors, for the first time of her career on Monday.
Tallying three points, with one goal and two assist, the freshman helped the Beavers secure their first weekend sweep of the season over Lindenwood University.
