The Festival by the Lake was held Saturday at Bayfront Festival Park.

Formally known as Taste of Duluth, this year’s festival event featured food, live music, product and service displays, shopping, demonstrations, arts and crafts, beer and more.

Kirstie Helgerson of Duluth said the amount of vendors was a real highlight for her.

"I love it! I’m so happy that there’s more actual vendors selling their stuff than [just] food,” she said. "It’s just great to see all the different products that local artists are making. It’s very inspiring, honestly."

Donations made at the event, in part, benefit the Bluebird Foundation, a 501 c3 that awards grants and scholarships to regional high school age students in the performing arts.
