CSS names Jessica Cherry next Director of Athletics

On Thursday the College of St. Scholastica (CSS) named Jessica Cherry their next Director of Athletics and Recreation. The appointment is effective September 1.

She steps in for Merissa Edwards who served as the Interim Director of Athletics and Recreation during the 2021-2022 school year.

Cherry spent the past two years at fellow Division III college Marymount University in Virginia. There she served as the Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance, Senior Woman Administrator, and Deputy Title IX Officer. Prior to that, the New York state native spent three years at Maine’s Colby College as their Associate Director of Athletics.

At CSS she will oversee 22 varsity sports, 20 of which compete in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC).
